our roots

Let’s be honest - in today’s world, it can be easy to think the grass is always greener on the other side (of the Instagram account). However, so many of us miss out on the good we have in our lives because we are busy chasing happiness. I started the Peachy Poppy with the intention to show others how, even in difficult times, you can learn to be present and cherish the here and now.

To me, flowers represent the beauty in life and how fleeting it can be. Flowers bring happiness. Flowers are an easy self-care practice. Flowers tell your friends or family you’re thinking of them. Flowers tell a stranger there is still kindness in the world. So let’s do our best to experience life in full bloom and make the world a little more peachy. Grab a bouquet or build your own - whatever makes you happy. Just remember to stop and smell the roses.

Our Values

We believe in a healthy planet and healthy communities. We only use sustainably grown, fresh cut flowers from American farmers. Our bouquets are responsibly hydrated with Eco-Wraps and lovingly wrapped in recyclable, non-bleached, unwaxed, American made peach butcher paper.

Meet Melissa

Hi I’m Melissa Pallitto - the owner of The Peachy Poppy. I live in Manasquan, NJ and am a Creative Director / Graphic Designer by trade. For years, I dreamed of how I could use my God given talents for the greater good. So after some soul searching, I decided to take a leap of faith and turn my passion for design, flowers, and helping others, into a business. The Peachy Poppy is more than just another flower shop. It’s about cultivating a culture of self-care and kindness with beautiful blooms.

“Self-care” and “kindness” may seem like buzz words, but the reality is those words need our attention more than ever. I am a big advocate for mental health after recently conquering the beast of depression myself. I learned, just like flowers, we need to learn to bloom where we are planted even in the toughest terrains.

So I hope you take time to stop by, say hi, and experience, first hand, the simple joy of flowers.
